June 3rd 2022, we celebrated our 1st Year Anniversary with a wild night of action. Including New Albania (Andre Kabashi, Jay Abrams and Trevor Straud) and The Purge (Sean Tyler, Kevin Kalloway and Mitch Hewitt) colliding in what was to become the beginning of the end for the Purge and the continual rise of New Albania.
July 16th 2022, Jason De Milo and the “Cat Daddy” Paul Bowser’s feud came to an abrubt end in a brutal and chaotic, two out of three bouts that crossed the finish line with a bloody Texas Death Match.

Charging into 2023

In March 2023 City Championship Wrestling saw the return of the “Man Beast” Rhino and the debut of Alex Shelley!
Then, in April 2023, Alex Shelley vs. Gutter didn’t go as planned when young wrestlers, Jason De Milo and Ryan Matthias interrupted and caused such a fuss, management changed the main event on the fly to Alex Shelley AND Gutter vs. Jason De Milo and Ryan Matthias in a battle of the mature and immature.
May 2023, Ryan Matthias took on Alex Shelley in a two out of three falls match that would would be considered the best match in CCW history until…June 2nd.
The CCW 2nd Year Anniversary Event

We saw returns, debuts, surprises and so much more, including the conclusion tp the controversy that arose during the finals of the City Championship Wrestling Tag Team tournament at A Night to Remember on October 14th.
On November 4th, 2023, we headed back to Harrison Township for LOADED featuring our most star studded card to date including the debut of the Motor City Machine Guns as a team, challenging Free Suplexes (Freedom Ramsey and “Suplex Shogun” Jackson Stone) but alas Alex Shelley was unable to compete due to injury. Fortunately, The Machine Guns had a back up plan and brought in “The Man Beast” Rhino to team with Chris Sabin to challenge for the Tag Team Championship belts. It was not only LOADED because of the stars that wrestled that night but apart from every match on the card having had extremely high stakes and none more exorbitant than the Non-Sanctioned, Anything Goes, Chain Match, Title Belt vs. Career between “The Cat Daddy” Paul Bowser and Heavyweight Champion, Andre Kabashi.
Then on Thursday, November 9th 2023 we presented our Season Finale event entitled Mystery Match Madness. It was heralded as the most interesting events in City Championship Wrestling as all of the Matches would be made with complete spontaneity. The wrestlers would have no time to prepare for their opponent because they didn’t know who they were wrestling until the announcement was made. This event also featured an earth shattering announcement that “Cat Daddy” Paul Bowser would be taking over the company, immediately.
Cat Daddy’s City Championship Wrestling
March 1st 2024, was Keep It Movin’ II! The first card put together and promoted by the Cat Daddy himself and we saw a record breaking crowd of over four hundred-fifty (450) in attendance. A World Record set with the WORLD RECORD SETTING, BIGGEST TAG TEAM GAUNTLET MATCH EVER with 19 Tag Teams vying for a chance to become number one contenders for the Tag Team Championship. The fans finally saw the TAG TEAM debut of the Motor City Machine Guns when Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin challenged Free Suplexes (“Suplex Shogun” Jackson Stone and Freedom Ramsey) in a Match of the Year candidate and so much more great action!
June 1st 2024. The Third (3rd) Year Anniversary event will be a City Championship Wrestling event like no other. The Cat Daddy is hard at work putting together an event for the ages. Including member of the current City Championship Wrestling roster but members of the roster over the last three years and a whole slew of debuts. Stay Tuned.
The ‘Summer of Slam” Tour kicked off with a killer start, in Harrison Township, MI with the Third Anniversary Event.
Up next, we traveled up the road to Richmond, MI for the ‘Ruckus in Richmond’ raising over $2600 for the Saving Destiny Animal rescue!
In hindsight, it was on June 1st at the Third Anniversary was the first sign of distress in “Cat Daddy” Paul Bowser, but being so hyper all the time, nobody thought twice. Then on July 15th in Richmond, MI when he continued to get involved int the event’s proceedings all night on the microphone.
CAT DADDY’s FALL and Chris Moore’s Rise
It was seemingly almost immediately after the events of July 15th, that Paul Bowser took to social media to berate and make fun of hardcore and deathmatch wrestling, the wrestlers who participate and the fans of that particular genre of wrestling. He stirred up so much drama, there were threats against Paul AND City Championship Wrestling, including but not limited to the other wrestlers on the roster, the building owner, management and their families and so much more. It had gotten so out of hand at one point that CCW Management told Paul Bowser to apologize and schedule a match between two hardcore/deathmatch wrestlers on the July 11th card in Livonia, MI.
City Championship Wrestling wasn’t going to have egg on their face, so a plan was put into place. A plan, unbeknownst to Paul Bowser and the rest of the world unless and games were to be played by Mr. Bowser. Things had in fact gotten so out of control, there were threats of violence, invasions, and hijacking the event, hell, there was people from other promotions who were in the crowd.
Paul Bowser had gone to the ring to address the crowd and the it was the moment of truth, should he stick to the plan, nothing. However, if he would go into business for himself, the hammer would be dropped.
Instead of doing what the company had asked, he went on a tirade that was far worse than anything he had said on the internet and after he got done, he introduced an official from XPW. Then brought out the two hardcore/deathmatch wrestlers to the ring, under sheets. In the confusion, there were three hooded figures in the ring. Paul introduced them one at a time, the first was an unknown competitor “Hardcore Rassler” written on his shirt in sharpie. He revealed the second competitor as he had a shirt that had “Deathmatch Rassler” written in sharpie on his shirt. Paul Bowser then took to the mic to make fun of the “hardcore” and “deathmatch” wrestler’s physiques, appearance and even the XPW Official’s counting ability when he made bad joke after bad joke about how the referee couldn’t count and bring him two guys because the was a mysterious third hooded figure under a sheet.
Paul Bowser turned to the crowd and continued his terrible comedy routine as he reached back to remove the sheet, The “Deathmatch Icon” Chuck Stein WITH his signature Barbwire Bat in hand. Stein grabbed Bowser and as the Cat Daddy begged for his life with fear in his eyes. The two “hardcore” wrestlers attacked Stein as Bower made his escape but not before having to witness Chuck Stein DESTROY the microphone with his barbed wire bat.
As Chuck laid into the two posers that openly mocked his style of wrestling, Paul Bowser remerged with an army of the most low down members of the CCW roster to go after Chuck Stein when two more hooded figures appeared to open the door and aide Stein in HIS escape!
As Paul Bowser threw a fit in the ring, a suit clad Chris Moore emerged out from the darkness and grabbed a 2nd mic to address why he was there and without too much hesitation, he announced that Paul Bowser was removed from his management role and ordered the roster to throw him out of the building.
commissioner Chris Moore era
Right before Chris Moore had Paul Bowser ejected from the building against his will, he had the chance to let the audience know that not only was Mr. Bowser removed from his authority role but Mr. Moore would be the new Commissioner of City Championship Wrestling!
The first card under the new Commissioner, Chris Moore was held in Allen Park, MI for the 2024 installment of ‘Survival of the Fittest’.
Mr. Moore brought City Championship Wrestling to New Baltimore, MI every week, starting on Thursday, September 12th 2024. Weekly CCW Wrestling was back and it’s all thanks to Chris Moore taking the reigns. The fans were happy, the crowds were growing and the wrestlers felt like they had a home. The Commissioner, truly fostered a great environment to grow as a wrestler.
After weeks of everything running smoothly there was a disturbance, after reaching out (an obscene amount of times) via calls, texts, emails DMs and more, only to be ignored, which prompted Paul Bowser get past security and infiltrate the CCW Studios and in a split-second decision, to avoid any potential problems, Mr. Moore choose not to escalate things tell Paul that he can have a chance to explain his actions, on the show.
CAT DADDY and Chris Moore reconciliation and team up
Before anything else could happen, it turns out Paul Bowser’s injury serious was a more serious diagnosis than previously thought. So, Paul Bowser reached out to commissioner Chris Moore and the CCW Office to see if he could bury the hatchet and possibly have a retirement speech in the CCW ring. The company and Chris Moore went back and forth until finally coming to the conclusion to allow the speech but were quick mention that there would be security measures in place incase anything went awry.
The date was set and everything was in motion and just like that, the problems stopped. When the speech went well and there was no problems or apparent tricks, Chris Moore approached Paul Bowser and after a nice conversation, Chris Moore offered Paul Bowser a chance to join him behind the scenes. Paul Bowser gleefully accepted and it was then when Chris Moore knew Paul Bowser was a changed man and offered him the chance to present his student, Freedom Ramsey with his WWE ID Contract in the CCW ring, in the new CCW Studios and in front of the CCW fans. That moment was when it all changed and both Mr. Moore and Mr. Bowser decided to put on the best events possible, together!
Chris Moore’s return to the ring!
Chris Moore was doing a great job keeping order, making the matches and instilling joy in the fans. It was only a matter of time before somebody would try and get one over on the commissioner and that man was none other than former CCW commentator, Jonathan Presley!
After weeks, if not months of obscurity, “the Lykan” Alex Lynch seemed to be lost until Jonathan Presley took him on as a client and ever since, Alex Lynch has had more checks in the win column than losses, a first in his pro wrestling career. Jonathan Presley does help his clients win by hook or by crook, he knows how to assist his stable of wrestlers. Everything was going well for Presley and Lynch until the issue between Trevor Straud just grew to be too much. Trading wins between the two wrestlers would stop when Presley entered the fold. Every time Presley would cheat, Chris Moore made a mental note.
Things came to a head when Jonathan Presley went one step too far over the edge and the Commissioner had no choice but to do something about it. He wasn’t going to do something cruel, just even the playing field by handcuffing Jonathan Presley to the Commissioner himself, so Chris could keep an eye on J.P. up close. It was all going according to plan, Presley was effectively cancelled out by Moore’s presence at ringside. Until, from out of nowhere, DeVon Ryker attacked Chris Moore from behind and freed Presley from the commissioner’s handcuffs and was ultimately the deciding factor in his client, “Lykan” Alex Lynch going to to defeat Trevor Straud.
Chris Moore would go on to make his return on August 23rd, 2025 in Allen Park, MI at ‘Survival of the Fittest 2025’ to take the ring by teaming with Tevor Straud to Challenge Lynch and Ryker with Jonathan Presley to try and settle this once and for all. Ryker took more money than Presley was willing to pay which lead to an interesting tag team match. Straud and Moore vs. lynch and Presley!
Chris Moore is still looking to put a muzzle on “Lykan” Alex Lynch and silence Jonathan Presley. As for Ryker, hopefully for him, he’s moved on to other employment as to avoid a run in with “The Alpha” Chris Moore. If Moore puts that Commissioner hat down and puts on his Alpha cap on, Nobody will stand a chance. We’re all just lucky that he’s a nice guy.
The current state of City Championship Wrestling
Commissioner Chris Moore and “Cat Daddy” Paul Bowser split their time wrestling and doing commentary, respectfully. Looking to see who will be the next man or woman to climb the ranks and go on to stardom. Mr. Moore avoids conflicts of interest by taking himself out of the title picture and only participating in exhibition bouts. Mr. Bowser has shown to turn over a new leaf as far as attitude, he’s as hyper as ever but the Commissioner keeps him in check, all while looking to lift up the next generation of wrestlers.
