One-half of the Motor City Machine Guns Alex Shelley is alongside Chris Sabin. A 22-year professional wrestling veteran who has competed globally, winning championships in almost every major professional wrestling company, and is considered one of the best to ever step inside the squared circle. Since joining the City Championship Wrestling roster in March 2023, he has had some of the best matches ever held in the confines of a City Championship Wrestling ring. They compete against Ryan Matthias, Jason De Milo, Gutter, Freedom Ramsey, and “Suplex Shogun” Jackson Stone. Alex Shelley made his debut in an outstanding match, defeating Ryan Matthias and then when he was supposed to wrestle Gutter but that was interrupted by Jason De Milo and Ryan Matthias, and thus a tag team about was made; Alex Shelley and Gutter teamed up to defeat Jason de Milo and Ryan Matthias, then the very next month the rematch was set, a 2 out of 3 falls with a 30-minute time limit, when Shelley defeated Matthias. Then, at the 2nd Anniversary Event in June of 2023, Alex Shelley and Freedom Ramsey fell to Ryan Matthias in a three-way about. Alex Shelley returned in November of 2023 with partner Chris Sabin. They were set to challenge tag team champions with Free Suplexes (Freedom Ramsey and “Suplex Shogun” Jackson Stone), but when Alex Shelley was injured, he was replaced by “Man Beast” Rhino as Alex Shelley took to the commentary booth. Then, on March 1st, 2024, Alex Shelley was cleared for action as he and Chris Sabin unsuccessfully challenged Free Suplexes for the Tag Team Championship. Free Suplexes gave up their tag team championship belts for a shot at Andre Kabashi’s Heavyweight belt. Since they placed second that night, the Motor City Machine Guns will get another shot at the Tag Team Championship as they challenge New Albania on June 1st at the 3rd-anniversary event for the VACANT tag team championship.
