The stakes were high, with the winner earning the right to challenge reigning TNA X-Division Champion Chris Sabin at the much-anticipated SummerFest event on August 4th, 2023.

The aftermath of a single match can sometimes have far-reaching consequences, and the world of professional wrestling is no exception. One such instance occurred when Ryan Matthias, a top contender, cost Freedom Ramsey, another contender, the coveted TNA X-Division Championship. A rivalry was born out of this competition, with each wrestler vying for the title of the best.

However, the feud between the two wrestlers took a sour turn with just one move, leaving Ramsey down but not defeated. In the year that followed, the tension between the two wrestlers continued to grow, setting the stage for an epic showdown at the September 2023 Survival of the Fittest event.

This event would witness the first-ever Heavyweight Champion being crowned in the night’s main event, and Freedom Ramsey was determined to claim the ultimate prize. The previous year’s feud had only made him more relentless in his quest to prove himself as the true champion. This upcoming match was the culmination of a long journey for Ramsey, who had overcome personal issues to reach this point.

The fans eagerly awaited the showdown, wondering who would come out on top. Would it be the talented and determined Freedom Ramsey, or would Ryan Matthias again emerge victorious? Only time would tell who would be crowned the first-ever Heavyweight Champion, but one thing was certain – the journey to get there had been tumultuous for all involved.

The world of professional wrestling is all about drama, passion, and spectacle, and the upcoming showdown at the Survival of the Fittest event was set to deliver all that and more. With the high stakes, it is anyone’s guess as to who would come out on top. But one thing is certain – this event was for the ages!

In what has been described as one of the most thrilling and unpredictable tournaments in the history of City Championship Wrestling, the first-ever Tag Team Championship was crowned on November 29th, 2023, at the Throwdown event. The tournament began in October and saw some of the most talented and experienced tag teams battle it out for a chance to become the first-ever champions.

The tournament’s final match was a two-out-of-three falls match, pitting Ryan Matthias and K.J. Reynolds against Freedom Ramsey and “Suplex Shogun” Jackson Stone. It was a match that had everything – high-flying moves, technical wrestling, and intense rivalries.

The match started with Matthias and Reynolds taking control, but Ramsey and Stone quickly turned the tables and won the first fall. The second fall saw Matthias and Reynolds return strong, tying the match and setting up a thrilling finale.

In the end, Ramsey and Stone emerged victorious, winning the third and final fall and becoming the first-ever City Championship Wrestling Tag Team Champions. It was a moment of triumph for Ramsey, who had been robbed of his chance to become the first-ever Heavyweight Champion earlier in the year.

The victory was lovely for Ramsey, who had to overcome a rocky relationship with Matthias throughout the tournament. The two had constant miscommunication and disagreements, and Matthias even walked out on Ramsey before the final match. However, Ramsey was able to find a partner in the formidable “Suplex Shogun” Jackson Stone, and together, they proved to be an unbeatable team.

The Purge (Kevin Kalloway and Sean Tyler), considered one of the favorites to win the tournament, had to settle for second place. Despite their experience and brother-like chemistry, they were unable to overcome Ramsey and Stone’s sheer determination and skill.

The tournament was a true testament to the skill and talent of the organization’s wrestlers. It provided fans with some of the most exciting wrestling matches in recent memory. The win cements Ramsey and Stone’s place in City Championship Wrestling history and sets the bar high for future tag teams looking to claim the championship.

Overall, the first-ever Tag Team Championship was a resounding success, drawing in fans from all over the country and showcasing some of the industry’s most exciting and talented wrestlers. With this victory, Ramsey and Stone have proved that they are a force to be reckoned with and have set the standard for all future tag teams in City Championship Wrestling.

In one of the most anticipated wrestling events of the year, Free Suplexes, consisting of Freedom Ramsey and “Suplex Shogun” Jackson Stone, made history by becoming the first-ever Tag Team Champions. It was a fiercely competitive match that kept the crowd on the edge of their seats until the end.

However, their victory celebration was short-lived. The Motor City Machine Guns challenged Free Suplexes for the Tag Team Championship at the highly-awaited LOADED event in November 2023. Unfortunately, Alex Shelley of the Machine Guns was injured before the about, which disadvantaged the team.

Despite the setback, the Machine Guns surprised everyone by bringing in the “Man Beast” Rhino to fill in for Shelley. Both teams fought with all their might, putting up a formidable fight that had the audience electrified.

Ultimately, Free Suplexes emerged as the winners, marking another historic moment in their already impressive wrestling journey. While the Motor City Machine Guns made a valiant effort, Free Suplexes proved to be the superior team, showcasing their skills and tenacity in the ring.

The crowd erupted in cheers as Free Suplexes celebrated their hard-earned victory, a moment that will be remembered in the history of this esteemed wrestling company for years to come. It was a testament to their hard work and dedication, and their win will undoubtedly inspire many aspiring wrestlers to follow in their footsteps.

In a heart-stopping event with fans at the edge of their seats, Free Suplexes retained their Tag Team Championship against The Motor City Machine Guns on March 1st, 2024. This highly anticipated rematch had everyone talking; both teams put their all on the line.

Despite The Motor City Machine Guns’ valiant efforts, Free Suplexes proved too much to handle. The crowd erupted in cheers as Andre Kabashi retained his Heavyweight Championship, but the night was far from over.

In a surprising turn of events, Freedom Ramsey and Jackson Stone emerged from the locker room to announce that they were relinquishing their Tag Team Championship belts for a shot at Kabashi’s Heavyweight Championship at the upcoming THIRD ANNIVERSARY EVENT on June 1st, 2024.

The announcement stunned the crowd as Stone made it clear that Ramsey would have to get the job done, or he would be next in line for his shot at the heavyweight championship. This sets the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable event, with some of the best wrestlers in the business vying for the top spot in City Championship Wrestling.

The upcoming showdown between Kabashi and Ramsey and the other exciting matches that will take place at the THIRD ANNIVERSARY EVENT have fans counting down the days. City Championship Wrestling continues to deliver some of the most thrilling and unforgettable moments in professional wrestling.

MAIN EVENT #1:
Heavyweight Championship:
Andre Kabashi (c) vs. Freedom Ramsey

Since their dramatic clash in the first match of City Championship Wrestling, Jay Abrams’s and Freedom Ramsey’s rivalry has been nothing short of personal. It all began on June 6th, 2021, during the opening round of the Center Line Heritage Cup Tournament. Freedom Ramsey emerged victorious despite facing a formidable opponent, only to find himself entangled in a web of betrayal and manipulation in the tournament’s second round. This led to an enduring feud that has captivated fans for nearly two years.

Freedom Ramsey has been a driving force in City Championship Wrestling since its inception, leaving his mark in every aspect of the sport. However, one accolade continues to elude him – the City Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. As the Third Anniversary event approaches on June 1st, 2024, there’s a chance for Freedom Ramsey to trade in his Tag Team Championship for a shot at Andre Kabashi’s coveted Heavyweight Championship. Will this be the moment when Freedom Ramsey finally claims the ultimate prize? Don’t miss the Third Anniversary event to witness this thrilling showdown and much more!

MAIN EVENT #2:
Vacant Tag Team Championship:
Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) vs. New Albania (Jay Abrams and Ike Watts)’

On March 1st, 2024, New Albania shook the wrestling world by clinching the top contender spot for the tag team championship. In a thrilling tag team gauntlet match, Ike Watts and his surprise partner, Andre Kabashi, won a stunning victory over the fan-favorite debutants, The Solution and Thee Spyder. The plot thickens when a masked figure enters the ring, only to be revealed as Andre Kabashi himself. However, City Championship Wrestling regulations bar wrestlers from holding two titles simultaneously, preventing Kabashi from challenging the reigning Tag Team Champions, Free Suplexes, following their successful defense against the Motor City Machine Guns. In a bid for fairness, Freedom Ramsey relinquished his tag team championship to go after Andre Kabashi’s Heavyweight Championship. If Freedom falls short, Jackson Stone will step up for a shot at the Heavyweight Championship. With the Tag Team Championship now up for grabs and the top contender holding the heavyweight title, the anticipation is through the roof. The Cat Daddy and senior management have reached a verdict: the Motor City Machine Guns, who secured second place on March 1st, will take on the Number One Contenders, New Albania (featuring Ike Watts and Jay Abrams, standing in for Heavyweight Champion Andre Kabashi), for the VACANT Tag Team Championship! Who will emerge victorious as the tag team champions at the third-anniversary event? The excitement is off the charts!
